Being deeply connected to the natural world has always been part of who I am. I spent my early childhood along the coast of Southern California, and from the age of fifteen, I’ve had the privilege of calling Maui home. Here, nature is never just a backdrop—it’s a presence. It’s the rhythm that guides both my art and the way I move through the world. It reminds me to slow down, to listen, and to create with intention.

My journey with art truly deepened during high school, when a chronic illness turned my world inward. What started as a way to cope with pain and grief soon became something more: a friend, a form of therapy, and a path toward healing. Creating helped me process what words could not. It grounded me in the present and reminded me that beauty can be born from struggle.

When I work with clay, I feel grounded. Made of earth—it carries stories of time and transformation. It's memory compressed into form. I never force it. I listen. I ask, What do you want to become? My process is intuitive, guided by feeling more than plan. I’m drawn to organic forms, the beauty found in imperfection. I believe the act of creating is just as important as the final product. No two pieces I create are exactly the same, making each one a unique reflection of a moment—irreplicable, honest, and alive in its own way.

Painting, for me, is a celebration of color and imagination. Rather than attempting to perfectly replicate reality—I paint to explore feeling, to follow curiosity wherever it leads. Like with clay, I trust my intuition to guide the process, allowing the work to unfold naturally, moment by moment. I give space for my inner child to play freely, without rules or expectations. This is where I find flow—where time softens and I become completely present, lost in the peace of creativity.

Through my creations, I hope to evoke the same sense of wonder, joy, and curiosity that guides my artistic process. In many ways, art is a personal form of reciprocity—a way to express my gratitude for life and for the Earth. My dream is to inspire others to find healing through creativity and a deeper connection with nature.

Thank you for being here.

Land Acknowledgment

With deep respect, I acknowledge that I live and create on the island of Maui, part of the ancestral and unceded lands of the Kānaka Maoli, the Native Hawaiian people. I honor their enduring connection to this land, its waters, and its stories, and I am grateful to call this place home.
